Make the Most of Your Event Photography

Okay, you have trolled the internet, searched Facebook and LinkedIn, checked out some images, and narrowed it down. You then call and book your photographer, but what is next?

You want your event to be memorable and full of laughter and dancing, and you want your event photographs to show that in all its vibrancy.

Set Your Scene, by the Theme

Well-lit areas and unintrusive decorations work for mood and ambience and also well for photographs. When staging your event, are there speakers who need to be elevated to see the whole room? Are Mics required, which means sound as well?

Communication is Key 

What is important for your event, is it the culture, is it the team bonds and relationships, or is it for business brand enhancement and exposure? When you make that initial call and book a photographer like me, I check whether you want candid or posed. Are there key moments to not miss, or would you like me to roam in the back?

To Print or Not

If your event is small and you are looking to show company culture and brand awareness, I would generally suggest having the finished product in digital format for use on your Social Media or internal company site.

On the other hand, if your event relates to celebrating staff and the business growth, including parties or awards. Printing is a beautiful addition; it allows staff or key stakeholders to have happy memories and to highlight key company moments.

Get Your Guests or Staff Involved.

It’s never fun to sit on the sidelines by engaging your guests or staff, you can make your event more memorable, and they may even have suggestions to enhance the experience.

As your photographer, I want you to enjoy the hard work you have put into this one evening to celebrate achievements, document anniversary moments, inspire staff, encourage team bonding and have a very good time.
