Events that add a dash of finesse.
Digging through a treasure trove of happy times, I look back at an event pre-lockdown which had everything a event requires.
Culture – Colour – Food – Clothes – Music
The Asian Fashion Show was hosted in the #ManchesterTraffordCentre and was high quality fabric, rich colours, music and dancing. I was asked to photograph the event, from start to finish which meant a whole day of shooting, luckily it was in the Food Hall, meaning snacks were on hand.
Usually filled with cry and screaming children and parents trying to keep them entertained, the space was loud with music drums and dancing on stage. The audience transfixed by the sparkling colours and vibrant movements.
Adding to the event’s charm were the exquisite outfits and delicious food samples, generously shared by local Asian communities. It was a heartwarming reminder of the richness of culture and the power of togetherness.
I would love to do it again.
