Essential Questions to Ask Your Event Photographer
Choosing the right photographer can feel overwhelming at times. You have to budget for the event costs, which generally include set up, sound and engineering, food, entertainment, and staffing. Sometimes documenting the event can seem unimportant; however, that’s how you show the beauty of what makes your company culture so vibrant.
To simplify the process a bit, here are 5 key things you should ask:-
- What is your experience with Events like these?
With over 15 years of experience in Event Photography, I have covered a multitude of corporate, School, Weddings and Birthday celebrations.
- Do you specialise in mixed styles of photography?
- How do you handle low-light or challenging environments?
Depending on your specific requirements, I have external lighting and on-camera flashes to help me navigate most arenas. At times, no additional light is wanted; having a wide selection of lenses means this isn’t a problem.
- What is your turnaround time for edited photographs?
For most small events, such as birthdays and Parties, the turnaround is 48 hours. For large events, such as corporate functions or weddings, the turnaround is 7 days.
- Can you offer unique services like mobile studios?
I currently do a manned themed mini-studio set up with on-sight printing.
